Seniors Receive Prestigious Scholarships from UT Austin

We are incredibly proud to announce that two outstanding Ysleta High School seniors have been awarded full-tuition scholarships from The University of Texas at Austin!

  • Sebastian Mendoza received the 2026 Darren Walker Scholarship.

  • Dahlia Ornelas was awarded the Big Impact Scholarship, valued at $80,000.

Both scholarships will cover full undergraduate tuition, helping these exceptional students pursue their dreams at UT Austin. Congratulations to Sebastian and Dahlia on this well-deserved achievement! Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Hook ’em Horns!
